Becoming a factor by being an actor
Writing and conducting research on the WEF global governance plans can be exhausting and it sometimes feel like am reporting on what others are doing while am merely reporting on the events and doing barely nothing.
I want to act but how does one act effective other than being a keyboard warrior? Is this an effective strategy when there is an absence of readers and a grotesque lack of public intellectual curiosity?
It sometimes resembles speaking/writing to an empty space or wall that takes in information for information sake while enjoying a meal with no plan to do anything but rinse and repeat absorbing more information the next day.
Is the virtual world an empty void? It sure seems so. Majority of it looks devoid of substance, meaning and principles even the so called NFT, metaverse and web3.0 world purports to be mostly about some pointless digital “art” that rarely inspires one to act in the real world or to seek for change in a meaningful way.
We seem to have lost that. I mean the political essence of art, prose, music and all forms of genuine beauty. Personally, I have been jaded by the preponderance of mediocrity and blandness of the popular 'CULT'ure all around us. This has led me to abandon modern art, music and taste in favor of seeking out past and old forms of music and films to my delight. I am so grateful I grew up in the Anglican church as a chorister so reverting back to classical music was an easy transition as I already been familiar with that eras movement and history.
It is interesting to note that the era of classical music is synonymous with the Renaissance and other periods of excellence where man was significantly influenced by the developments of humanistic thought; the recovery of the literary and artistic heritage of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome; increased innovation and discovery; the growth of commercial enterprises; the rise of a bourgeois class; and the Protestant Reformation.
Also imbibing works from the Romantic era but being aware that is was characterized by its emphasis on emotion and individualism, idealization of nature, suspicion of science and industrialization, and glorification of the past with a strong preference for the medieval rather than the classical. According to its Wikipedia page, the romantic era was partly a reaction to the Industrial Revolution, the social and political norms of the Age of Enlightenment, and the scientific rationalization of nature— which were all components of modernity.
Similar to the period we inhabit now, where we exist in a reactionary zeitgeist opposing the technocratic, managerial and technological global structure.
To those who want to separate politics from art, I suggest they go down the rabbit hole of history to see the parallels.
The reactionaries that exist now have to step up and build structures, systems and solutions that offer alternatives so the WEF, global governance systems they are proposing and in some cases implementing.
This I think is crucial in this moment as many of us are worried about the abhorrent policies of national governments (rightly so) but not putting it into actual practice.
Many of us (including myself) has been coping and spewing intellectual vomit and rants as Uberboyo brilliantly put it in one of his tweets that unless people like us act and remake a new world, we would never change it and if we don’t, it is likely we would be summed up as part of the useless class Yuval Harari always speaks of and we would sadly own nothing.
Seems like the technology that has exacerbated ADHD, Insecurity, Depression and constant need for validation has also made some of us forget how to act in real life and distracted us from our priorities.
While some are fiending for the next dopamine hit from notifications, ringtones and vibrations emanating from our devices to make us feel needed or wanted, we would be busy working to develop solutions that can be applied through the political system. To elect and support candidates with virtues, similar interests and goals to further our own interests.
We would aim to replace the old and unpopular stakeholders like Klaus Schwab and co.
Do we need to act in order to change our realities? Yes and time is running out.
I suggest we begin drawing up strategies to see it through.
My travails will be documented on here for all to see…
See you tomorrow!
