Fantastic Fanatic

I apologize for not publishing an entry yesterday. I do not need to but since I made a public commitment, I would like to keep it. Not for anyone but for myself. Todays entry will be a double whopper, hopefully you all have your coffee ready. Make it a double espresso!

I had indicated that I am working on a NFT project and it is sucking my time, maniy because we are at the initial stages. It temporarily disrupted my schedule yesterday but I have organized a new one to include my daily musings. NFT update will come piping hot, no worries!

My day yesterday started with an unproductive meeting that I later regretted attending as my interlocutor was the typical religious fanatic. You know the type, like those Jehovah witnesses who knock on doors trying to save your life. The types that think all the answers are in the bible and constantly uses the verses from the bible in reference to everything and has faith that “thy will be done”. These types generally think all knowledge is complete and do not try to question things. Very compliant and arrogant in their bubble of hope and faith in the unknown. I always wonder how people maintain the inconsistencies of man made religion.

This individual happens to be of the African heritage so he naturally assumes that humanity starts from Africa (the Out of Africa theory). So his logic is that Africans or Nubians are the superior race (Many of us cannot seem to get over race relations). There are numerous texts and stories that profess such ridiculous ideas as this. I used to be of this opinion until I was duly informed after coming across new studies and findings, and of course I do not imbibe in this any longer. It is a topic that is still a contentious one but the facts all point to human fossils originating elsewhere and not from Africa. In hindsight, I think of myself using those same arguments and believing the narrative mainly to justify the backwardness rife in Africa. All these just to abscond from taking any responsibilities. Very easy to accuse the other as the root/cause of one’s problems with minimal self reflection.

I have spoke of the lack of self reflection rife in many especially the religious. The belief/faith idea locks them into a perpetual loop of self aggrandizing and victim culture to no end.

At least they get to dream of the utopian wakanda heaven. I wish I could go on dreaming but I am too cynical to live in a perfect cloud.

Marvel studios will continue to produce movies that reinforces narratives to maintain the illusion, we pay with our attention while Hollywood lives like gods in Santa Monica, California.
