Good Afternoon.
I have been meaning on writing this but I have not around to it but here we are, finally!
With all the incoherent and draconian actions governments around the world have implemented in the last year, we have witnessed an increase in the stifling of freedoms and speech. Even the mere act of wearing a mask muffles the voice. We are watching this draconian law take shape and grow before many can take their masks off to shout how ridiculous they are! Sadly, until we-people, collectively do something about it (like speaking out or civil disobedience or reducing our reliance on the systems of control), we would continue to suffer in silence. Only the heavens knows how far or long we “people” acquiesce without push back.
I must commend the push back witnessed in various countries over the virus restrictions and “vaccine” passes in Austria, Croatia, Italy, Northern Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Outside of Europe, protesters were seen in several cities across Canada, Australia, Japan, and even the US. Some marked Saturday as part of a "Worldwide Freedom" rally. Although mainly about the virus, the push back also speaks to the various elimination of personal freedoms and liberty that have transpired in its wake.
This is in reference to the “Online Safety Bill” that has being proposed in the UK, the European Unions “Digital Services Act”, or the German Network Enforcement Act (NetzDG). All these regulations aim to curtail or “protect” and address “harmful” online expression. While these are just three countries, we should be aware that governments copy each other as we see active proposals take shape in other countries such as India, Canada, Nigeria, Thailand etc.

Many of these regulations are being proposed all in the name of addressing or protecting harmful online expression. To which there is very little definition on what constitutes a hateful or harmful expression. But there is evidence of it in action already so we can see where this is headed. Authorities are clamping down on individuals that make statements that criticize or speak against any official government propaganda/mandates like the 2 years prison sentence for people in the UK who post “false information” about vaccines online or the man who threatened democrats online that has been sentenced to 19 months in prison in the US or the 12 year old boy that was arrested for posting racist comment to a footballer in the UK.

Really?! Real good use of tax payers money. Arresting a 12 year old boy while ignoring that many crimes taking place across the borough under their protection. It also says a lot about the thin skinned footballer who was “hurt”. Saying this is laughable would be an understatement. An “adult” claims to be hurt because of a mere word or name calling? (More on the sissified modern man in a future entry).
Please, no one should lecture me on how demeaning it is for the black person. I have been called racist names to my face and I laughed it off as I knew and still know that the perpetrator was seeking a reaction. Besides, I am fully aware that I cannot and do not want to control what other people do, but I can only control my actions. This is an important stoic lesson I have imbibed and I deploy when interacting in society and it has saved me from wasting my time and energy on pointless causes.
As our online activity grows, spaces and “online communities” like Twitter, Facebook, Discord, Reddit, etc. that are resembling our physical town squares or public gatherings where people should be able to say whatever they want, however they want and to whoever they direct it will be policed and become boring. In as much as there are rude or people with bad intentions, we should not give room for the government or a for profit corporation to decide who or what gets to be said online EVER. This is a recipe for disaster and will not end with a positive outcome as they will come for all of us eventually one by one.
Including myself, who knows if I will be able to post my thoughts freely on Substack when this is in full force?
This is why we are seeing a mass exodus away from spaces like YouTube, Facebook and the rest to other platforms that protect or encrypt your conversations and activities such as Odysee, Rumble, Bitchute, Telegram, Signal, etc.
To be honest, the best solution would be to reduce reliance on these services all together either by opting out of the system entirely or by staying under the radar by being anonymous, or going incognito while online and surviving completely “off the gird”.
There are many ways to do this like using the Brave browser or The TOR browser that does not track your activities in stead of Google chrome or Mozilla or Safari. Using search engines like DuckDuckGo or Searx or Startpage instead of Google that gives you targeted and compromised results. Using a VPN at all times when browsing the internet. Using encrypted Email services like ProtonMail or Tutanota or Mailbox.org instead of using Gmail or Hotmail services.
These are just some examples of what I use to try and remain incognito online and remain anonymous. It might seem daunting for some nevertheless, it is doable and easily accomplished.
See you tomorrow!

Wow! A whole ass adult crying about a 12year old calling him names.
