My Reaction
I read an article from Peter R. Quiñones titled, ‘Are you a reactionary?’. The piece inspired this my typed reaction:
The label "reactionary" is often used in a derogatory way to misrepresent people who counter-signal the status quo because it implies that they are opposed to progress and change, and are only interested in maintaining the status quo or returning to a previous state. It suggests that their views are outdated, and that they are resistant to new ideas or ways of thinking.
See the Economist description of this:
But are the ‘reactionaries’ really opposed to change/progress or merely attempting to protect the unprotected & ensure order/regulations? We never know cos their views are never heard leaving it to only exist in the fringes of society.
People who counter-signal the status quo, are seen as a threat by those who support it, as they challenge the established norms and beliefs. As a result, they are subjected to negative labeling and stereotyping in an attempt to delegitimize their views and dismiss them without engaging in meaningful dialogue or debate.
It's important to remember that everyone has their own perspective and opinion, and it's important to respect that and engage in civil discourse, rather than resorting to name-calling or delegitimizing someone's perspective. People who counter-signal the status quo are able to bring new perspectives and ideas to the table, and it's important to listen to and consider their views.
The article in reference:
If I had a nickel for every time I was called a “reactionary” in the last few years, I’d have a shitload of nickels. Somehow, reacting to what is happening around you, and TO YOU, is a negative. The overwhelming majority of people were not concerned with politics in times past. Politics may have affected them occasionally. But we now live in an Age in which the State has insinuated itself into every aspect of your life. Francis Parker Yockey described the Age in which we live perfectly:
This is the Age of Absolute Politics, for the whole form of our life is now a function of power.
You may not have yet come to Yockey’s conclusion, but did reading it open your eyes? What is your reaction? Is it anger? Is it desperation? Are you motivated to act? Congratulations, you’re a reactionary. But that is not what people who use “reactionary” as a pejorative mean. When you decide to start speaking out against issues that the Zeitgeist has normalized, that is when the label is applied. For example, if you start to posting concerns about the Transgender Industrial Complex and how it is harming children, people who are scared to go against the Zeitgeist for fear of being ostracized will hurl the “reactionary” label at you. Those who use it as a slur are like frightened children using an “adult” version of “you’re mean!”
Don’t think for a moment I’m going to let any “reactionary” off the hook. True right-wingers (sane people) are to blame. The term “reactionary” wouldn’t be used as a pejorative if right-wingers hadn’t shirked their responsibility in “securing the Blessing of Liberty to themselves and their posterity.” Right-wingers refused to use political power to crush the perverse and inverse. The groomers and pedophiles would be in prison or somewhere else had the Right not run away from their responsibilities when it comes to enshrining their beliefs and values in law. No, they allowed perverts and worse to grab the reins of power and now only fight back with any conviction when accused of being “Nazis,” crying, “but the Left are the real racists!”
Imagine a society that didn’t have purple-haired lesbian wildebeests in kindergarten classrooms. Imagine a society where mocking guys dressed up as women, calling themselves real women wouldn’t get you fired from many jobs. If you think I’m mean for typing the last two sentences, ask yourself why you “reacted” that way. Is it because that’s what you believe deep down? Or is it because you’ve bought into a delusion sold to you by monsters who hijacked the Natural Order? The one thing that haunts me, maybe more than anything else, is believing lies. We live in a society that is based on lies, perversions, and inversions. If you don’t find a way to “react” to these outright lies to save the future, you may become one of those people hurling the term “reactionary” around soon enough. And whose side will that put you on?
Like Jeff Accordion in the comment section astutely said,
I am whatever counter-signals whatever they are.
It’s like diarrhea and vomit left on the floor to seep into the carpet and grow mold. It can’t be tolerated. It can’t be reformed or bargained with. It requires a certain... “reaction.”
See you tomorrow fellow ‘reactionaries’.
