Sabotage and Escalation.
Questions abound following the news that the Nord stream Gas pipeline from Russia to Germany was attacked and sabotaged yesterday.
From the horses mouth and chief US regime change coup of Ukraine, Victoria Nuland. "ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, Nord stream 2 will not move forward."
Who has been against the Nord stream Gas pipeline 2 from the onset?
What was the initial response/reactions?
Poland’s former Foreign Minister and a sitting member of the European Parliament, is praising what he suggests is a US attack on part-German-owned civilian infrastructure, which could condemn millions to poverty in a frigid winter.
What is the motive?
With winter approaching political pressure has been mounting to lift the sanctions and resume the flow of gas.
Also, to impair/sever the relationship between Russia and Europe. Leaving Europe more dependent on US LNG.
From Aaron Mate, "Putin said on Sept. 17 that if Europe wants to solve the issue, it can ignore US orders and open up the Nord Steam 2 pipeline. "Just push the button and everything will get going," Putin said. Instead, someone bombed it."
Cui Bono?
An open question..🤔
Why would anyone sabotage the pipeline?
The German government might be happy about this incident too because they were already under immense pressure due to the soaring energy prices and for them to act. Now they can say "even if we wanted to we can't open it now" (plausible deniability).
Who is the victim here?
The people of Europe.
What is the expected action?
Escalation. Emotional act in retaliation from Russia.
Another question, why would Russia sabotage their own pipeline?
What action/s is this alleged sabotage trying to drive up?
Belligerence. Both sides at loggerheads. Crisis (problem, reaction, solution). War.
We have leaders that are not proposing solutions. This is really sad.
See you tomorrow!
