Two opposing goals..
Chasing money or seeking truth to make an impact are opposing goals..
One cannot pursue the two simultaneously, the has to be a compromise.
Would you rather make money for societal status, temporary power and ‘keeping up with the jones’s? Or would you make an impact or change? The former reeks of short term endless commercialism & materialism while the latter is a longer, harder abstract concept and a philosophical approach to living life.
I think we all struggle with these two opposing moral questions everyday.
What do our everyday actions tell us in light of the question posed?
Do our habits aim for merely surviving or do they aim to make an impact?
Something to think about..
